BJP Marks June 25 as 'Samvidhaan Hatya Diwas'

The date marks the day the Emergency was declared, which BJP leaders describe as a 'democracy murder' by then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Amit Shah emphasized the 'inhuman pains' endured by many during this time.

BJP chief JP Nadda noted on X that the day will serve as a reminder of the heroic efforts to protect the Constitution and democracy. He expressed gratitude to the prime minister for recognizing the significance of this period.
