INDIA Bloc Triumphs in By-Elections, BJP Faces Defeat

TMC MP Mahua Moitra commented on the ongoing 'losing streak' for the BJP as the INDIA bloc won 10 out of 13 assembly seats in recent by-elections across seven states. The TMC secured four seats in West Bengal, and other regional parties also gained ground, while the BJP won only two seats.

The winning streak of the INDIA bloc continued as they secured 10 out of 13 assembly seats in the latest round of by-elections across seven states. TMC MP Mahua Moitra highlighted the 'losing streak' of the BJP and its 'agency-raj' in a statement on Saturday, taking a jab at Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Specifically, the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) clinched all four by-poll assembly seats in West Bengal, while the INDIA bloc's collective triumphs revealed a growing momentum. The BJP, on the other hand, managed to secure only two seats, with an Independent candidate winning one.

The Congress showed significant gains by winning four seats, including two in BJP-governed Uttarakhand and two in Himachal Pradesh. Meanwhile, the AAP emerged victorious in Jalandhar West, Punjab, and the DMK took the seat in Vikravandi, Tamil Nadu, underscoring the diverse strength of the opposition coalition.
