The shocking attack occurred on Saturday at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania, where Trump, 78, was targeted by a young shooter who fired multiple shots, injuring Trump's right ear. The incident left one rally attendee dead and two others in serious condition. The 20-year-old assailant was shot and killed by a member of the Secret Service.
In a statement, PM Modi expressed deep concern over the violent incident, emphasizing that violence has no place in politics and democracies. Macron termed the attempted assassination 'a tragedy,' while Starmer and other global leaders echoed similar sentiments, condemning the political violence and expressing solidarity with the victims.
