Union Ministers Bhupender Yadav and Ashwini Vaishnaw chaired a strategic meeting with Maharashtra BJP leaders to prepare for the upcoming assembly elections. Yadav and Vaishnaw, who oversee the party's Maharashtra campaign, gathered with key state figures, including Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, to review election strategies.
The ministers will continue their engagements in Mumbai on Friday. Additionally, a significant BJP convention is scheduled in Pune on July 21, with Union Minister Amit Shah expected to attend.
The meeting also addressed the BJP's poor performance in the recent Lok Sabha elections, where the party's seat count in Maharashtra plummeted, in part due to an alliance with the Ajit Pawar-led NCP. This strategic misstep was criticized in a report by 'Vivek', a Marathi weekly linked to the RSS, citing public discontent with the BJP-NCP alliance.
