K P Sharma Oli, recently appointed as Nepal’s Prime Minister, comfortably won a vote of confidence in Parliament on Sunday. Oli secured 188 votes in favor while 74 were cast against him.
Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dev Raj Ghimire, announced the result, confirming Oli's victory in the crucial floor test, for which he needed 138 votes out of 275.
Addressing the Parliament, Oli vowed to ensure political stability, combat corruption, and deliver good governance. The veteran Communist leader, now in his fourth term, highlighted the coalition's commitment to these goals.
