The Bihar assembly faced disruption twice on Tuesday as opposition members voiced their objections against the Centre's refusal to grant special status to the state. The opposition, including members of RJD, Congress, and the Left, carried placards and even rattles to mock the government's stance.
Speaker Nand Kishor Yadav continuously urged the opposition to maintain decorum, stressing the negative impression on visiting school children.
Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary challenged the opposition to raise their queries formally. However, continued unruly behavior led to multiple adjournments. Chaudhary accused the Congress-led UPA of initially rejecting the special status demand.
