Piyush Goyal Criticizes Rahul Gandhi’s Recent Speech

Union Minister Piyush Goyal criticized Rahul Gandhi's recent speech, accusing the INDI alliance of lacking nationalistic thinking and a positive agenda. Goyal claimed Gandhi's remarks were baseless and highlighted the poor state of the economy when the Modi government took charge in 2014. He also noted that the UPA failed to implement the legal guarantee for minimum support price (MSP) for farmers.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal on Tuesday criticized Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, for his speech delivered a day earlier. Goyal stated that the INDI alliance lacks nationalistic thinking and offers no positive agenda for the citizens of India.

In his remarks to reporters, Goyal, who holds the commerce and industry portfolio, said Gandhi's claims were baseless. He highlighted the challenging state of the economy the Modi government inherited in 2014.

Gandhi had remarked that an atmosphere of fear dominates and accused a group of six of trapping the country in a 'chakravyuh'. Goyal responded by asserting that Gandhi's speech only demonstrated the hollow promises of the UPA. He also pointed out that during its term, the UPA did not implement the legal guarantee for the minimum support price (MSP) for farmers.
