Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi Visit Relief Camps in Flood-Hit Wayanad
Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra have arrived in Kerala to visit various relief camps in the landslide-affected areas of Wayanad. Accompanied by AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal, they will also visit a community health center and medical college. Massive landslides have recently devastated the region, causing 173 fatalities.

Congress leader and former Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi, along with his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, arrived in Kerala on Thursday. They are set to visit several relief camps in the landslide-affected areas of Wayanad district, according to party sources.
Rahul Gandhi, who secured a win from Wayanad in the 2019 general elections and again this year, relinquished the seat in favor of his victory in Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is anticipated to contest from Wayanad in the upcoming by-election.
The Gandhis landed at Kannur airport at 9:30 am and traveled to Wayanad by road. They are expected to reach Meppadi shortly, with AICC General Secretary and Alappuzha MP K C Venugopal accompanying them. Their itinerary includes visits to the Chooralmala landslide site, a Community Health Centre, Dr. Moopen's Medical College, and two relief camps in Meppadi. Torrential rains triggered massive landslides in Mundakkai, Chooralmala, Attamala, and Noolpuzha hamlets, resulting in 173 fatalities, including women and children.
