Congress MLA Altone D'Costa on Friday alerted the state legislative assembly about the alarming presence of leopards and bison during daytime in populated areas of his constituency, Quepem, in South Goa.
During the Zero Hour, the freshman legislator highlighted that these wild animals were increasingly seen roaming in markets and other public spaces, posing a potential threat to residents.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant committed to addressing the issue by directing the state forest department to take swift action.
