Union Minister G Kishan Reddy confirmed on Monday that Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir are slated for September. He appealed to the Union Territory's residents to favor the BJP to sustain the momentum of development and eradicate terrorism.
Reddy credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government for significantly curbing Pakistan and ISI's activities in Jammu and Kashmir through the abrogation of Article 370 five years earlier. He issued a stern warning to Pakistan regarding support for terrorism in the area.
Addressing a rally at Bana Singh Stadium in Jammu, he expressed confidence that the BJP would win a majority, attributing changes in the region to the annulment of Article 370. He urged the electorate to choose between returning to the provision under opposition parties or continuing with the BJP-led development and peace initiatives.
