BJP Leader Danve Challenges Maratha Activist Over Reservation

BJP leader Raosaheb Danve challenged activist Manoj Jarange, asking him to field 288 Maratha candidates in upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections if unsatisfied with the current reservation. Danve emphasized the state's 10% reservation for Marathas and criticized the opposition for politicizing the issue.

In a heated exchange over Maratha reservations, BJP leader and former Union Minister Raosaheb Danve has thrown down the gauntlet to activist Manoj Jarange, challenging him to field 288 Maratha candidates in the Maharashtra assembly elections if he's dissatisfied with the current reservation policy.

Danve's comments came during a press conference where he reiterated the state government's commitment to a 10 percent reservation for the Maratha community. He suggested that rather than opposing the current quota, Jarange should try his luck at the polls to bring about the change he seeks.

Danve also criticized the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition for using the reservation issue as a political tool. He urged Congress MPs to prove their sincerity by raising the Maratha reservation issue in Parliament, otherwise branding them as selfish and insincere.
