Tamil Nadu Minister P K Sekar Babu has firmly refuted BJP's accusations regarding DMK's stance on atheism, asserting that the ruling party has always respected the freedom of all religious beliefs. He criticized the BJP for forming a new strategy to target the DMK while reaffirming the party's commitment to religious freedom.
The minister reacted strongly to BJP state chief K Annamalai's claims of DMK being forced to reverse its atheistic principles due to BJP's influence. He highlighted that DMK has never interfered with any religious practices, ensuring freedom for followers of all faiths including Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, and Hindus.
Babu dismissed Annamalai's remarks as inconsequential, describing them as mere "blabbering" and a futile effort to challenge the DMK. He praised the party's president, M K Stalin, as a capable leader who remains focused on serving the public despite political criticisms.
