Celebrations erupted at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) office and at the residence of Manish Sisodia minutes after the Supreme Court granted bail to the former Delhi deputy chief minister on Friday.

Sisodia, who had been arrested in connection with the excise policy case, will walk out of jail after spending 17 months in custody.

At his residence, Sisodia's wife Seema Sisodia and other family members distributed sweets, their faces beaming with joy as they welcomed visitors.

Party leaders and workers converged at the AAP headquarters on DDU Marg, with the premises echoing with the sound of drum beats. Among them was minister Saurabh Bharadwaj, who distributed sweets to the gathered crowd.
