Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, Pakistan's former foreign minister, delivered a scathing critique of the Supreme Court, accusing it of resurrecting the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party (PTI) through a controversial verdict regarding its electoral symbol.
The Supreme Court's judgment, which upheld the Election Commission's decision to strip PTI of its electoral symbol shortly before the February 8 general elections, has been described by Bhutto-Zardari as aiding PTI to rally sympathy votes and mobilize support.
Bhutto-Zardari asserted that the judiciary's history of interfering in politics has led to the current crisis and urged the government to address the pressing economic issues faced by the public. He also linked the political situation in Pakistan to recent developments in Bangladesh, suggesting that the people are watching closely.
