Shaurya Doval, a prominent BJP leader, revealed he has never explicitly sought to contest in elections but remains open to the possibility if the party nominates him. The banker-turned-political thinker returned to India from the UK in 2009 with an aim to set up the India Foundation and pursue a path of service.
Speaking to PTI editors, Doval, also a member of BJP's Uttarakhand state executive committee, said he never asked for a poll ticket. Doval emphasized his lack of political aspirations, despite his father's high-profile role as National Security Advisor.
He detailed his career journey, highlighting early academic and professional success before focusing on public service. Doval cited his substantial career achievements but stressed that his move to establish the India Foundation was driven by a desire to serve the nation. He noted his willingness to consider electoral politics if required by the party, showcasing a commitment to contribute where most needed.
