Former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda remains steadfast in his assertion that he is 'neither tired, nor retired,' declaring his confidence in Congress's victory in the upcoming assembly elections. He stated that the decision on the chief minister will be made by the Congress high command post-elections.
In an exclusive interview with PTI, Hooda emphasized that the forthcoming polls are essentially a contest between the BJP and Congress, dismissing other parties like the Jannayak Janta Party and the INLD-BSP alliance as mere 'vote-cutters.' Hooda dismissed any notions of factionalism within the Congress, attributing such issues to the BJP instead.
Hooda, who served as chief minister twice and is currently the Leader of Opposition in the assembly, criticized the BJP-led government's handling of the state's economy, law and order, and development work. He highlighted that Haryana has suffered due to rising unemployment and poor infrastructure maintenance under BJP's regime.
