Odisha Assembly Holds Orientation for New MLAs

The Odisha assembly has organized a two-day orientation program for first-time MLAs. The program aims to acquaint new legislators with parliamentary procedures, committee functions, budgetary processes, and member conduct. Key speakers include Union Health Minister J P Nadda, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram.

The Odisha assembly has announced a two-day orientation program exclusively for first-time MLAs, scheduled for this weekend.

The program will be conducted within the assembly premises to familiarize the new legislators with essential parliamentary procedures, functional aspects of various committees, the intricacies of the budgetary process, along with privileges and expected conduct of members.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mukesh Mahaling revealed to reporters that prominent speakers such as Union Health Minister J P Nadda, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram are slated to address the new lawmakers.

Out of the 147-member Odisha assembly, 82 are first-time MLAs, an assembly official disclosed.
