Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his grave concern for the plight of minority Hindus in Bangladesh and launched a scathing attack on the opposition INDIA bloc, saying they remain silent to appease their vote bank.
CM Yogi thanked PM Modi for revealing the dark chapters of history and accused the opposition of fearing a vote bank backlash if they speak up. Adityanath highlighted that 1.5 crore Hindus in Bangladesh are crying for help while the world and secularists in India remain silent.
He accused the opposition, particularly the Congress, of lacking solidarity for human suffering and acting like successors of the Britishers by promoting a divide and rule policy. He reiterated Maharishi Arvind's stance on Pakistan, suggesting it would either merge with India or vanish from history forever.
Adityanath compared current atrocities in Bangladesh to those during the partition, questioning when lessons from historical mistakes would be learned. A recent clash between the Bangladesh Army and minority Hindus protesting family member disappearances highlighted the volatile political situation, intensified by demonstrations against Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's government.
Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus, chief advisor of Bangladesh's interim government, visited the Dhakeshwari Temple, assuring minorities of their safety and equal rights, urging patience and fair judgment of governmental efforts.
