Senior BJP leader Basanagouda Patil Yatnal, known for his candid critiques, revealed that RSS seniors and BJP National President J P Nadda had advised him to temporarily remain silent, promising to resolve his issues. Yatnal has been vocally critical of State BJP President B Y Vijayendra and his father, former Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa.
Yatnal, along with other dissident BJP leaders, plans a 'padayatra' to expose alleged corruption in the 'Maharshi Valmiki Scheduled Tribe Development Corporation' and misallocation of welfare funds. This initiative follows a recent opposition protest led by Vijayendra demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah over an alleged scam.
Despite internal disagreements, Yatnal stated his loyalty to the party and emphasized his aim to free BJP from 'adjustment politics.' The planned protest and internal rifts underscore the ongoing power struggle within the party's state unit.
