Telangana CM A Revanth Reddy Predicts BRS-BJP Merger

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy claims that the Bharat Rashtra Samiti might merge with the BJP soon. He suggests that prominent BRS leaders could be appointed to significant political positions. The CM also assured that the government had fulfilled the farm loan waiver scheme promise, emphasizing a Rs 5,000 crore reserve fund.

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy asserted on Friday that the Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) is likely to merge with the BJP in the foreseeable future.

Speaking to reporters, Reddy speculated that BRS president and former Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, commonly known as KCR, might be appointed as a Governor, while his son and party working president K T Rama Rao could be included in the Union Cabinet.

Revanth Reddy also suggested that T Harish Rao, another prominent leader, could become the Leader of Opposition in the Telangana Assembly. He further added that BRS members in the Rajya Sabha would align with the BJP, which might facilitate KCR's daughter, MLC K Kavitha, to secure a seat in the Upper House and potentially avoid legal trouble in the Delhi liquor case. Despite denials from BRS leaders, Reddy remains confident that the merger will happen.

In addition to his comments on political realignments, Reddy highlighted the government's achievement in fulfilling the farm loan waiver scheme promise before the August 15 deadline. He urged those who haven't received assistance to lodge complaints at their respective Collectorates and announced a Rs 5,000 crore reserve fund for the scheme.

Furthermore, Reddy met with Congress President Mallikarjuna Kharge to discuss the appointment of a new president for the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee.
