Former U.S. President Barack Obama made a significant return to the political arena on Tuesday night to endorse Kamala Harris in her final push against Republican Donald Trump. Obama, America's first Black president, extends substantial political influence to Harris, who aspires to break new ground as the first woman, Black, and South Asian president on Nov. 5.

Preceding Obama's address, his wife Michelle Obama hinted at a potential future presidential run. The Democratic National Convention (DNC) commenced on its second day at Chicago's United Center, facing delays due to security, leaving seats empty during the roll call of state delegates.

Harris, joining virtually from Milwaukee, rallied supporters with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. Criticizing Trump's stance on the overturned Roe v. Wade decision, Harris emphasized accountability. The DNC’s roll call emerged as a star-studded event, with performances and speeches from high-profile celebrities and political figures.
