Crisis Deepens in Gaza: New Evacuation Orders Amid War
Israel has issued new evacuation orders in central Gaza, primarily targeting Deir Al-Balah, leading to mass displacements. The conflict has escalated with multiple fatalities, and hospitals like Al-Aqsa are overwhelmed. Diplomatic efforts have failed to find a resolution, resulting in severe humanitarian crises and widespread suffering.
Israel issued new evacuation orders for Deir Al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip late on Sunday, forcing more families to flee. The military stated its intention to act against Hamas and other militant groups operating in the area. This increase in evacuation orders is the highest since the 10-month war began.
The Deir Al-Balah municipality reported that the orders have displaced 250,000 people. Residents were urged to move immediately to the west, with the area now deemed a 'dangerous combat zone'. At least seven Palestinians were killed on Monday, with fatalities occurring in various locations including Deir Al-Balah, Al-Nuseirat camp, and Rafah.
Amid the chaos, hospitals like Al-Aqsa are under severe strain, with Médecins Sans Frontières considering suspending wound care due to nearby explosions. Efforts by mediators from Qatar, Egypt, and the U.S. to resolve the conflict have stalled, with both sides trading blame over failed negotiations.
