Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has stirred controversy with his remark, 'If one wishes to live in India, they must say Hail Ram and Krishna,' made during a program in Ashoknagar district on Monday. Stressing that figures like Rahim and Raskhan are remembered for their connection to the land, he warned that benefiting from India while serving elsewhere would not be tolerated.
In his speech, Yadav also highlighted the inter-community cooperation seen in Chanderi's Handloom Park, where Hindus and Muslims work together, emphasizing the freedom of religious practice but prioritizing patriotism. 'We respect everyone in this country,' he said, lauding the achievements of the workers in Chanderi.
Responding to Yadav's comments, Congress leader Kunal Choudhary countered by urging the BJP leaders to understand that the core teachings of Ram and Krishna are centered on love and humanity. He noted that historical conflicts involving these deities were not based on caste or religion, but against those who harmed humanity, calling for an understanding of Ram's and Krishna's true essence.
