AAP Accuses BJP of Vendetta Over MLA's Arrest

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday condemned the arrest of its MLA, Amanatullah Khan, by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), labeling the case as 'false' and politically motivated. The party declared that the more the ruling BJP attempts to suppress its voice, the louder it will become.
AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh questioned the legitimacy of the latest action against Khan, noting that previous investigations had found no evidence of wrongdoing. The ED detained Khan, the MLA from Delhi's Okhla, on money laundering charges linked to earlier cases against him.
Singh criticized the ED's move as a farce, pointing to an earlier CBI charge sheet clearing Khan of any economic offenses. Despite multiple raids and prolonged questioning, the ED failed to find incriminating evidence, he added. Protesting what he termed as the 'tyranny of a dictator,' Singh and other AAP leaders, including former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj, vowed to continue their resistance against BJP's alleged vendetta politics.
