Kharge Blasts BJP: Accuses Modi of Collapsing Developments, Ignoring Domestic Issues

He accused Modi of ignoring domestic issues while touring the world and questioned the benefits of turning J&K into Union Territories.

In a heated press conference in Srinagar on Wednesday, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge took aim at the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing them of failing in various developmental initiatives. Kharge vehemently criticized Modi's projects, claiming that many have either collapsed or are facing serious issues.

"The BJP has not accomplished anything substantial in the past decade. Wherever a bridge was inaugurated, it soon collapsed. Even the newly inaugurated Ram Mandir has a leaking roof. People say PM Modi's touch is pure, but I can't see what kind of touch it is," Kharge asserted. He added that BJP's failure extends to disaster management, leaving states without adequate flood relief funds.

Kharge also highlighted Modi's frequent international visits, accusing him of neglecting domestic crises like the conflict in Manipur. "The Prime Minister is busy traveling the world while the country burns," Kharge said. He further questioned the BJP's decision to change Jammu and Kashmir from a state to Union Territories, asking if the move has truly benefited the region. The Congress leader claimed that BJP's promises of job creation remain unfulfilled, pointing out significant unemployment and unaddressed job vacancies across the country.
