TMC MP Files Complaint Against SEBI Chairperson
Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra has filed a complaint against SEBI Chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch with the Lokpal, urging the ombudsman to refer it to the ED or CBI for a preliminary probe and full FIR enquiry. The complaint includes allegations of conflict of interest and financial irregularities.

Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra has lodged a complaint against SEBI Chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch with the Lokpal, requesting the ombudsman to forward it to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) or the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a preliminary probe, followed by a full FIR enquiry.
Moitra made the formal submission both electronically and physically, urging the Lokpal to act within 30 days. She emphasized the need for every entity involved to be thoroughly investigated.
The allegations, initially raised by Hindenburg Research, include claims of conflict of interest and financial irregularities involving Buch and her husband. These also include receiving rental income from a Mumbai firm under SEBI investigation and consultancy services provided to the Mahindra Group.
