PM Modi to Inaugurate Pune Metro on September 26, Pune Airport Renamed

In a laudatory statement, Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for propelling development across the nation. Mohol revealed that several key projects would be inaugurated by PM Modi in Pune on September 26, including a significant new underground metro route.
Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis echoed this sentiment on Saturday, confirming the Prime Minister's upcoming visit. Fadnavis stated that PM Modi would inaugurate the underground metro from Civil Court to Swargate and lay the foundation for extensions including an elevated route from Pimpri Chinchwad to Nigdi.
In addition to these initiatives, the state government expressed enthusiasm over renaming Pune Airport to Jagadguru Sant Tukaram International Airport. MoS Mohol highlighted the residents' long-standing demand for this change, which has now been approved by the state cabinet and awaits Union Cabinet clearance.
