Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday rebuffed opposition calls for his resignation after the High Court dismissed his petition challenging the Governor's approval for an investigation into a site allotment case against him.
Siddaramaiah maintained his innocence, branding the accusations as baseless and politically motivated. 'I come from a background of struggle and will not bow to false allegations,' he said, asserting that he would not step down.
He accused the Narendra Modi-led government of indulging in vendetta politics and vowed to continue his political and legal fight backed by his party's high command and the people of Karnataka.
