BJP's Nadda Takes Aim at Congress, Highlights Party's Ideological Commitment

BJP president JP Nadda criticized the Congress for its alleged support of urban naxals and disintegrative forces. He praised BJP's achievements under Prime Minister Modi, including the abrogation of Article 370. Nadda also highlighted BJP's democratic structure and commitment to women's rights, contrasting it with the Congress's isolated operations.

In a vehement address, BJP president and Union Minister JP Nadda criticized the Congress Party on Thursday, branding it as the 'spokesperson of urban naxals' and accusing it of fostering disintegrative forces within the country. Speaking to intellectuals who joined the BJP in Odisha, Nadda lambasted Congress for its stance on Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, stating that 'The Congress has forgotten about nationalism.'

Nadda paid homage to Jan Sangh founder Syama Prasad Mookerjee for his opposition to 'Ek Desh, Do Nishan, Do Vidhan, Do Pradhan,' and extolled BJP's adherence to its ideological roots. Citing historical facts, he noted that Mahatma Gandhi had recommended dissolving Congress post-independence, advice that Jawaharlal Nehru disregarded. Nadda further criticized Left parties for their disunity in states like Kerala and West Bengal, pointing out their superficial solidarity for photo-ops in Delhi.

Touching on women's rights, Nadda condemned Congress for not abolishing the triple talaq system, alleging that it 'deprived Muslim women of their basic rights,' while lauding Modi's efforts in women's empowerment. He underscored BJP's mantra of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas' as a model of collaborative governance, contrasting it with the Congress's isolated operations. Highlighting BJP's grassroots democratic structure, he emphasized that leaders emerge through dedication rather than privilege.

Addressing economic criticisms from Congress leaders Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi, Nadda asserted India's rise as the world's fifth-largest economy and a major exporter of toys and mobiles, suggesting the Gandhi siblings lack economic insight. He also praised the Ayushman Bharat Scheme for health coverage and announced upcoming benefits for senior citizens. On the BJP's popularity, Nadda mentioned a program to educate foreign ambassadors about the party, noting that representatives from around 70 countries have visited BJP headquarters.

Upon arriving in Bhubaneswar, Nadda received a warm welcome from party members, including Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal.
