The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has achieved a significant victory in the Haryana assembly elections, which reflects an endorsement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's policies, according to Himachal Pradesh BJP chief Rajiv Bindal.
This success against a decade of anti-incumbency saw the BJP winning 48 out of 90 seats, whereas the opposition Congress managed only 37. Bindal emphasized that Congress's unfulfilled promises, such as payments to women and subsidies, were crucial in their electoral defeat.
Furthermore, BJP spokesperson Sandeepani Bharadwaj cited the failure of Congress to honor its guarantees as undermining its reliability. The electorate, confident in Modi's leadership, evidently dismissed Congress's divisive tactics along caste lines.
