Congress Questions EVM Reliability in Haryana Elections

Congress' Goa co-in-charge Dr Anjali Nimbalkar expressed concerns over the reliability of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) after BJP's victory in Haryana. Despite Congress leading initially, results shifted in BJP's favor, prompting allegations of discrepancies with EVM battery levels. Congress plans to operate as the opposition in Haryana.

In a recent statement, Dr Anjali Nimbalkar, Congress' co-in-charge for Goa, raised doubts regarding the transparency of Electronic Voting Machines used in Haryana elections, where the BJP emerged victorious despite anti-incumbency sentiments.

Nimbalkar noted an unexpected shift in results as the BJP overtook an early Congress lead. She pointed to irregular EVM battery readings as evidence and disclosed that a formal complaint has been lodged.

Regardless, Nimbalkar reaffirmed Congress' respect for the electorate's decision, emphasizing their commitment to constructive opposition work for Haryana's people.
