Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) Member of Parliament Mahua Maji has launched a scathing critique against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing the party of double standards in its political practices versus its public rhetoric. In a statement to ANI, Maji highlighted what she perceives as the party's contradictory stance on dynasty politics. She pointed to BJP's inclusion of politically connected family members in its list for the Jharkhand assembly elections, despite its denunciation of similar practices by parties like JMM and Congress.
Maji argued that the BJP's candidate list, which features relatives of prominent figures such as former Chief Minister Raghubar Das and Union Minister Arjun Munda, exemplifies the disparity in their criticisms versus their actions. She emphasized that her criticism is not against these individual candidates but aimed at exposing BJP's inconsistent policies. Furthermore, she accused the BJP of inducting individuals with alleged corruption links, revealing yet another layer of inconsistency.
Maji expressed confidence that the JMM would retain power in Jharkhand, citing strong preparations and public sentiment against BJP's leadership. As Jharkhand's elections approach, the INDIA bloc, consisting of JMM and Congress, is gearing up to contest the majority of the seats. Mahua Maji remains optimistic about their chances of success, pointing to the perceived lack of progress during BJP's tenure in the state.
