On Sunday, the BJP alleged that crores of rupees were spent on luxury household items, including a high-tech toilet seat, in a bungalow at 6, Flagstaff Road. This residence was occupied by Arvind Kejriwal during his tenure as Delhi's chief minister.
The inventory, which remains unverified, suggests extravagance at the former chief minister's residence. The bungalow, now allocated to Kejriwal's successor, Atishi, currently awaits her occupancy. In response, Atishi dismissed the BJP's allegations, stating that the party could keep the house as her focus is on serving Delhi's people.
Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva criticized the alleged misuse of public funds for personal luxury. A probe continues into the reconstruction of the bungalow, which the BJP has branded as 'Sheeshmahal' for its opulent features.
