In a fervent plea for global harmony, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres addressed BRICS leaders at a summit in Kazan, Russia, urging the necessity for peace in troubled regions like Gaza, Lebanon, Ukraine, and Sudan.

Speaking to attendees, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, Guterres highlighted that a comprehensive and just resolution is imperative for Ukraine, one aligned with the UN Charter and General Assembly resolutions.

His call underscored the pressing need for global cooperation and adherence to international law, as he emphasized, "Across the board, we need peace."
