Union minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh 'Lalan' has dismissed claims by RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav regarding extensive job creation during his period as Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar. Lalan challenged Yadav to provide employment data from the years his parents, Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi, governed the state.
The JD(U) leader emphasized that Bihar is experiencing rapid economic growth, attributed to the collaborative efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, resulting in enhanced job opportunities. Lalan remarked at a 'Rozgar Mela' event where appointment letters were given to approximately 51,000 candidates nationwide, with 217 from Bihar.
The minister highlighted the accomplishments of the current government compared to the previous administration, stating that they focus on concrete actions rather than empty promises. In response to repeated job creation claims by Yadav, Lalan suggested that Yadav might struggle to find supporting evidence.
Lalan insisted that while the government advances recruitments in various departments, it is also fostering a climate conducive to economic growth, startup development, and MSMEs, which he believes will naturally stimulate job creation.
