Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday paid tributes to the CRPF personnel who lost their lives in the 2019 terror attack in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, reflecting on their sacrifice and unwavering dedication to the nation.
Modi, addressing the nation, stated that the courage of the heroes who perished in the Pulwama attack will remain etched in the memory of future generations. The deadly assault occurred when a suicide bomber crashed an explosive-laden vehicle into a bus carrying Central Reserve Police Force personnel, resulting in the death of 40 jawans.
In response to the tragedy, India launched a retaliatory strike, known as the Balakot airstrike, just days later. This decisive action underscored India's resolve in dealing with such threats, as highlighted by the Prime Minister.
