Union Minister JP Nadda lambasted the Opposition on Monday after they walked out of the Rajya Sabha over issues concerning delimitation and the New Education Policy (NEP). Addressing the House, he urged the Opposition leaders to take a 'refresher course' on parliamentary rules, accusing them of attempting to undermine the institution.
JP Nadda argued that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government is open to discussions on all issues in Parliament. He emphasized the importance of following established rules for debates, pointing out the upcoming discussions on the budget and urging the Opposition to become familiar with parliamentary laws.
The DMK, meanwhile, vocally opposed the National Education Policy's implementation in Tamil Nadu, accusing the government of political bias. DMK MP P Wilson highlighted their protest in the Lok Sabha and concerns over potential unfair delimitation impacts on Tamil Nadu, due to slower population growth.
