The newly-formed BJP government in Delhi is set to present its inaugural budget on March 25 during a five-day legislative session. This session, beginning March 24, marks a significant step for the government's fiscal agenda in the capital.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, who simultaneously manages the finance portfolio, will lead the budget presentation. A general discussion is scheduled for March 26, with the decisive passing of the budget on March 27. The session's final day is dedicated to private member bills and resolutions.
The assembly will convene every day at 11 am, with extensions possible depending on legislative needs. The schedule includes Question Hour, except on the budget presentation day, March 25. Notably, members are limited to five questions per day to streamline proceedings according to assembly rules.
