In the latest escalation over the National Education Policy (NEP), Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan sparked a heated exchange by calling Tamil Nadu's government "dishonest" and its people "uncivilised." In retaliation, Chief Minister MK Stalin labeled Pradhan as "arrogant," alleging an insult to the Tamil Nadu populace.

On social media platform X, Stalin criticized the Union Minister's demeanor, emphasizing the need for discipline. The verbal tussle arose after Pradhan's Parliamentary address, condemning the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) for allegedly jeopardizing Tamil Nadu students' futures and stirring linguistic division.

Following this, DMK MP Kanimozhi filed a privilege motion in Lok Sabha against Pradhan, accusing him of contempt. Meanwhile, BJP's Praveen Khandelwal defended Pradhan's retraction of his remarks. The larger debate highlights Tamil Nadu's resistance to the NEP's three-language policy.
