The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has sounded the alarm on voter ID duplication and cloned Aadhaar cards, accusing the Election Commission of potential oversights that might jeopardize electoral fairness.
Following a meeting with Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, TMC leaders expressed profound concern over the potential ramifications these issues could have on the democratic process. The party has demanded that the Election Commission release a distinct list of voter deletions, additions, and modifications following any revision in voter rolls.
The Election Commission claims the issues, flagged by West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, will be addressed within three months. However, TMC remains skeptical, pointing out past discrepancies noticed in other states' elections and calling for rigorous verification processes to counteract fake voter entries.
