BJP leaders and workers took to the streets in Himachal Pradesh on Thursday to protest what they described as a prevailing 'mafia raj' under the current state government. The demonstration saw significant attendance, with protesters gathering near Vidhan Sabha to voice their discontent.
The demonstration, dubbed 'Maha Pradarshan,' was marked by anti-government slogans and allegations against the Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu-led administration. BJP state chief Rajeev Bindal claimed that development has stalled and accused the Congress government of protecting corrupt elements across various sectors.
Traffic disruptions and a minor scuffle were reported, while police were deployed to maintain order. BJP leaders contended that corruption is rampant, highlighting incidents of alleged harassment and unsolved cases involving government officials as evidence of governance failure.
