President Trump nominated Means, a physician and prominent advocate of Kennedy's 'Make America Healthy Again' initiative, after rescinding the nomination of Janette Nesheiwat. Loomer, a powerful figure within Trump's MAGA movement, had earlier voiced her opposition to Nesheiwat, prompting the withdrawal.

Kennedy defended Means in a Fox News interview and emphasized her achievements and dedication to health reforms. He highlighted Means' departure from conventional medicine as a testament to her commitment, amid growing criticism fueled by 'entrenched interests,' including Big Food. The MAHA commission's report, targeting chronic illness, is expected next week.
