PVN Madhav has officially assumed the role of president for the Andhra Pradesh unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), taking over from D Purandeswari, who served in the position for two years. Madhav's election was overseen by Bengaluru MP PC Mohan and was unanimously decided upon as he was the sole candidate for the role.
Madhav, whose family holds longstanding connections with the BJP, expressed pride in stepping into the presidency during a significant time marked by the RSS centenary. He emphasized his commitment to strengthening the party's influence within Andhra Pradesh and stressed the importance of the alliance with TDP and JSP for the state's growth.
Notables including Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan extended congratulations to Madhav, recognizing his dedication and potential in furthering the NDA alliance's spirit. Madhav's political journey began in 2003, and he boasts an extensive history of roles within the BJP's youth and state wings.
