Monday's Lok Sabha session was marked by chaos as opposition members demanded discussions on Operation Sindoor, leading to repeated adjournments. The first day of the Monsoon session witnessed four adjournments.
As the House reconvened post-adjournments, members persisted with slogans demanding a dialogue on Operation Sindoor, an offensive against terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh assured readiness for comprehensive discussions on any approved topics.
Despite appeals from Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju and other officials urging the opposition to voice demands through formal channels, protests persisted. Speaker Om Birla struggled to maintain order, promising discussions after Question Hour, but appeals for cooperation from opposition leaders went unanswered.
