Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Tuesday, critiqued Congress leaders for their absence during the parliamentary debate on Operation Sindoor. He suggested that it may be due to a decision by the Congress leadership, who were uncomfortable with their previous representation of India's stance globally.
While Modi did not name any individuals, it was apparent he referred to Congress MPs Shahshi Tharoor and Manish Tewari, who had been part of delegations to the U.S. and other countries to discuss Operation Sindoor. These figures did not participate in the recent debate in the Lok Sabha.
The Prime Minister called for a change in mindset within Congress, suggesting the current approach may restrict their leaders from expressing views freely, especially on important national issues such as terrorism and international relations.
