Controversy Erupts Over Arrest of Nuns in Chhattisgarh

In a serious indictment of the ruling BJP, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday launched a scathing attack over the alleged mistreatment of minorities, specifically spotlighting the arrest of two Catholic nuns in Chhattisgarh.

Prior to the Lok Sabha session, Gandhi, accompanied by Congress MPs from Kerala and others, staged a significant protest near the Parliament House, demanding the nuns' immediate release. These nuns were apprehended following accusations of forced conversion and trafficking.

Addressing reporters, Gandhi lambasted the government's perceived inaction on minority issues, underscoring the community's challenges and calling out the administration's priorities ahead of elections.
