Congress' Protest March: Telangana's Call for BC Reservations

A special train, departing from Charlapalli on August 4, will carry party members including Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, to the capital, aiming to demand action on pending reservation bills.

Set to unfold from August 5 to 7, the protest will see Congress leadership, including senior figures like Rahul Gandhi and legislative stalwarts, pressing for Presidential assent. The bills in question, passed by the Telangana Legislative Assembly in March, aim to elevate BC reservations to 42% across various sectors.

The action-packed agenda includes a Parliament debate push and a high-stakes dharna at Jantar Mantar, with planned meetings with President Droupadi Murmu to lobby for swift resolution.
