In a sharp rebuke, BJP National General Secretary B L Santosh criticized Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for his comments against Prime Minister Narendra Modi's praise for the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) during his Independence Day speech.
Santosh reiterated that the RSS remains the ideological backbone of BJP, noting that it has gained widespread acceptance across the nation. He addressed the criticism while speaking at an event marking the Birth Centenary Memorial Souvenir Release for Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Santosh also countered Siddaramaiah's statements, emphasizing the core values and mission of the RSS, and suggested that internal political struggles within Karnataka's ruling Congress might influence Siddaramaiah's views.
