Nagaland Leaders Head to Delhi for Talks on Frontier Issues

Nagaland's Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and other key ministers have departed for New Delhi to engage in critical discussions with the Home Ministry.
State government spokesperson C L John confirmed that scheduled talks with the ministry will cover major state issues. The Cabinet has presented a document focusing on the ongoing Naga political situation and a proposal for the Frontier Nagaland Territorial Authority (FNTA).
Additionally, the delegation seeks to address the Free Movement Regime (FMR) and Protected Area Permit issues along the Indo-Myanmar border, expressing concerns over revised rules impacting local villagers. Infrastructure projects such as the Foothill Road and new airports are also on the agenda for the talks.
