When the Rajya Sabha convened in the morning, proceedings were brought to a halt due to opposition protests, resulting in an adjournment until 2 pm. Protests resumed when the session reconvened, leading to the swift passage of the contentious gaming bill amid the uproar.

Deputy Chairman Harivansh, in his closing address, expressed disappointment over the constant disorder that plagued the session, lamenting the squandered parliamentary time and missed chances to discuss issues of public significance.
